Patient visits – October

In the current period, we observe a significant increase in Covid-19 infections. Therefore, we are modifying the rules for visiting patients in the hospital.

1. The basic type of contact between the patient and his family is by phone

2. Personal visits are possible only in exceptional circumstances and concern:

a. Terminated patients

b. Life-threatening patients

c. Patients with an uncertain prognosis, eg before surgery

d. Patients with poor psycho-physical condition indicating urgent contact with the family – to the decision of the Head of the Department / Head of the Department

3. A person who can visit a sick person should meet one of the following conditions:

a. A person vaccinated against COVID-19

i. 14 days after the second dose of the two-dose vaccine

ii. After 14 days after the dose of the single-dose vaccine

b. The Healing

i. From 11 to 180 days after receiving a positive PCR or antigen test

ii. Has the EU Covid Certificate

c. A person who has tested negative for SARS-CoV-2

i. A person who performed the PCR or antigen test not earlier than 48 hours before the day of the visit

ii. Necessary proof of test performed

Basic regime rules apply

1. The patient may only be visited by one person at a time

2. The visitor must not have symptoms of infection (e.g. runny nose, cough, fever, sore throat)

3. Responsibilities of the visitor

a. Hand disinfection

b. Using a mask that covers the mouth and nose

c. Avoiding touching your face with your hands

d. Avoiding close contact with the patient

e. Minimizing the items supplied to the patient

4. Limiting the visiting time to 15 minutes

5. The visitor should leave the hospital immediately after the visit

6. Organization in the branch:

a. Establishing a suitable visiting place so that the visitor has contact only with the patient being visited

7. Responsibilities of staff

a. Registration of the visitor (e.g. list for a given patient)

b. To prevent the build-up of visitors

c. Airing the room before and after the visit

d. Supervision of visits
