Minimizing adverse health factors at workplaces at the Provincial Hospital in Bielsko-Biała
The Provincial Hospital in Bielsko-Biała is implementing a project entitled “Minimizing adverse health factors at workplaces at the Provincial Hospital in Bielsko-Biała”
The project is implemented under the Regional Operational Program of the Śląskie Voivodeship for 2014-2020 co-financed by the European Social Fund.
On October 7, 2020, the Director of the Hospital, Sabina Bigos-Jaworowska, signed a contract for co-financing the project.
Contract no .: UDA-RPSL.08.03.02-24-04GF / 19-00.
The total value of the project is PLN 336,892.50
Co-financing from EU funds amounts to: PLN 286 358.62,
The earmarked subsidy from the national budget amounts to PLN 10,106.78.
The project provides for the modernization and improvement of ergonomics of workstations where the presence of health risk factors has been found, and training for the Staff. The support will cover 156 people employed under a contract of employment, including 124 women.
The main goal is to minimize health risk factors at the Provincial Hospital in Bielsko-Biała by implementing training activities and above-standard modernization of 156 doctors, nurses, midwives, paramedics / drivers / paramedics / medical guardians, diagnosticians.
The following ergonomic equipment will be purchased under the project:
Stairclimber – 2 pcs.
Transport seat – 9 pcs.
MAYO table – 6 pcs
Rotary stool – 20 pcs.
Chair weight 3 pcs.
Bath and transport lift – 2 pcs.
Belt and roller conveyor – 8 pcs.
Rotary disk – 2 pcs.
Sliding mat – 3 pcs.
Sliding board with a mat – 3 pcs.
Mobile hoist with scales – 1 pc.
Bariatric beds with scales – 2 pcs.
Bed with scale – 1 pc.
Additionally, as part of the project, a series of trainings on ergonomics at work will be carried out. The scope of the training will include:
Ergonomics in the performance of work during the transfer and transport of patients,
Ergonomic patient care techniques,
Threat to the bone-joint-muscular system in the workplace, correct posture during work,
Exercise and a lifestyle that will translate into health and physical condition.
The project will be implemented until June 30, 2021.
