From October 1, 2017. The Provincial Hospital in Bielsko-Biała will start providing night and holiday health care services to patients over 18 years of age.

Night and holiday health care are basic health care benefits provided from Monday to Friday from 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 a.m. the following day and 24 hours a day on Saturdays and Sundays and on public holidays.

In the case of telephone contact, please prepare your PESEL number – it significantly reduces the time of registering your application.

In the event of a sudden illness or a sudden deterioration in health, the patient may seek help at any point of night and holiday health care, regardless of where he lives and to which primary care physician / nurse (POZ) has submitted his declaration.

The doctor on duty gives advice:
  • on an outpatient basis,
  • at the patient’s home (in medically justified cases),
  • by phone.
You can use the help of a doctor and nurse at night, on days off and on public holidays in the event of:
  • – getting sick suddenly;
  • – sudden deterioration of health when there are no symptoms suggesting a direct threat to life or significant damage to health, and the measures taken home remedies or over-the-counter medications did not bring the expected improvement;
  • – when there is a concern that waiting for the clinic to open may significantly adversely affect your health.
Medical facilities whose contract for the provision of night and holiday health care services expires on September 30, 2017 will be open until 8.00 am on October 1 (Sunday). New night and holiday medical assistance points will provide services from Sunday, October 1, from 8.00 a.m.
