The Ophthalmology Department of the Provincial Hospital deals with the treatment and diagnosis of diseases of the anterior and posterior segment and the protective apparatus of the eyeball.

Performed treatments:

cataract surgeries – are performed using the phacoemulsification method under drip anesthesia. They do not require stitches. They enable quick recovery and recovery from normal daily activities.
simultaneous glaucoma and cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation
anti-glaucoma surgeries
secondary implants and linings of intraocular lenses
vitreoretinal surgeries, including retinal detachment, macular openings, and diabetes complications
operations on the oculomotor eye muscles (strabismus)
procedures in the field of eyelids, conjunctiva and cornea, including oncology with oculoplasty
treating wounds of the eyeball and eyelids

The branch is accredited to specialize in ophthalmology.
