The project will consist in equipping the Hospital Emergency Department of the Provincial Hospital in Bielsko-Biała in order to be able to expand the activities of the outpatient part of the department and ensure the best possible conditions for admitting patients, improve the rescue system, increase the availability and quality of services.

The purchase of new equipment for the Hospital Emergency Department, fully adapted to the needs of people in a life or health emergency, including disabled people, will bring a number of benefits for patients and will reduce the mortality rate among the region’s inhabitants.

The aim of the project: The aim of the project is to improve the functioning of the medical rescue system in the Bielsko-Biała, Żywiec, Cieszyn, Wadowice and Oświęcimski poviats .

Overall objectives: to ensure public access to healthcare infrastructure and to improve the efficiency of the healthcare system.

Total project implementation cost : PLN 2,592,384.86

Co-financing value: PLN 2,200,913.38

Project completion date : August 31, 2018.

The hospital has announced a tender for the supply of the entire range of medical equipment and apparatus to be purchased under the project. The planned date of the opening of the tender – May 18, 2018.


All purchases of medical apparatus and equipment provided under the project were made.
